As a psychology major, my research focuses on how digital self-representations, specifically avatars, influence long-term psychological factors including self-esteem, social anxiety, and body image. In my thesis, I plan to explore how long-term use of avatars can positively impact psychological well-being. My goal is to contribute to our larger understanding of the implications of digital identity.
