My favorite part of the brain is the cerebellum, but, at the end of the day, I'm broadly interested in the relationship between the brain and behavior. How do we do stuff, and what does it take to get better at doing it? Can we leverage our understanding of the brain to better understand movement and action, and vice versa? In my lab, my students and I generate hypotheses based on algorithmic-level explanations about the way the brain works, and we use human behavioral experiments to evaluate these predictions.
