I am interested in how musical context shapes motor representation. When a musician plays in different keys, the same melody corresponds to different hand configurations. I’m interested in whether such key contexts prime distinct motor patterns, and what that reveals about how musicians link sound and action. Outside of research, I enjoy restoring old bicycles.
